Job Role: Project Manager
Location: Leeds (LS9)
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 (negotiated on experience)
Hours: 08:00 – 17:00 (1 hour lunch)
Project Manager:
Our Project Managers will initiate the Project from Sales Hand over through to the execution & close out ensuring successful delivery of product to site c/w invoice tracking in line with agreed budgets. As a Project Manager you will co-ordinate & track multiple client projects in line with the business needs using a set process as below from Order intake to delivery on site.
Project Handover & Set Up:
- Arrange & facilitate the project launch meeting with the customer – order review & requirements – initiating meeting notes & the change register.
- Tasks are set up in line with handover, delivery dates – all in sync with an agreed joint Schedule / Plan.
Project Tracking:
- Weekly meetings with customers – ensuring up to date meeting notes, change register & Plan and communicate to Project resource planning team the build schedule & then any agreed negotiated changes with clients.
- Discuss & understand any outstanding technical issues with the technical team.
- Generate & submit quotations to approved changes following the final design review & costings.
- Track & report changes / issues – drawing remakes, calc reviews – Change Ledger & 4 Box to be used for this.
- Communicate with Sales & ensure they are updating on Account stoppages and escalate to Sales if Customer communication has stopped or causing serious delays in the process following Handover.
Project Close Down:
- Ensure all items have been delivered to site with confirmation from internal logistics with proof of delivery to client’s site.
- Ensure all invoices throughout the lifecycle have been reconciled & full project as quoted vs as supplied is reported.
- Closedown with customer and obtain review notes on what has gone well, less well and what could be done to improve our process & service.
What will you need?
- 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager or similar
- Project management Cradle to Grave experience with Critical Path Analysis understanding
- Task & time management with tracking nature engrained
- Confident in expediting of Issues
- Urgency & on the front foot whilst being pragmatic
- Strong communicator, written & verbal
- Similar manufacturing background (Sheet Steel, Fabrication), Construction is desirable
- PM Qualification (APM) is desirable
- MS project / other PM tools exposure, experience to advanced level (Gantt & Tracker usage) is desirable
